White on White

Hi everyone!

Happy Thursday! I can't believe that summer is almost over! Someone shared on Insta the other day that fall is a month away and honestly I was a little sad! I love spring and summer fashion so much and I don't want it to end! One of my favorite spring and summer trends is white on white! Well let's be honest, I wear white year round and I will probably continue wearing white on white into the cooler months... rules wear meant to be broken, right?!
Once I saw this darling top from Vineyard Vines, I had to have it! The gorgeous eyelet detailing and the super flattering neckline stole my heart the moment I saw it! It is the perfect fun summer top and it can easily be worn as a transitional piece into fall as well! It is so versatile! You can wear it with white jeans like I am, blue jeans, or even olive green jeans for fall and winter! Another great thing about this top is that is so easy to accessorize! I paired it with my favorite Vineyard Vines earrings and Tory Burch wedges to add a pop of pink and then I added my favorite Tory Burch bag to tie the whole look together! Such a fun and cute summer look! As I mentioned before, you could wear this top with a pair of olive green jeans or blue jeans with a fun flowy fall hat and booties and it would be absolutely darling!!
I have linked everything in this outfit down below!

Tips for Sorority Recruitment

Hi everyone!

Today's post has been highly requested and I am so excited to finally be able to sit down and write about it! Sorority recruitment is one of my favorite events of the year and something I look forward to year round. It is a week that is full of emotion, getting to know new girls and it is so much fun! I am going to share with you all some tips for recruitment as well as ideas of what to wear!

When you are a PNM (Potential New Member) that is going through recruitment for the first time, it can be very intimidating. I remember being scared out of my mind. My parents actually forced me to sign up for recruitment and made me show up on the first night. I was so scared because I was at a new school, I didn't know anyone, and being in a room full of girls was very daunting to me. I thought they were all judging me and I was alone and I was the only one that was scared. But let me tell you, everyone is nervous and scared when going through recruitment. It is something new and you have no idea what is going on. Don't be afraid of anything. The members of the sororities are just trying to get to know you and get a sense of who you are. It gets easier each night that passes by. You start to understand and anticipate what is going to happen when you walk in and you will get more comfortable with the girls and it is easier to talk to them and have a conversation as well. To help you have the best time during recruitment, I have put together some of my tips for the week!

1. Don't be afraid to find your "home".
On the orientation night of recruitment, the Director of Greek Life at my university kept saying that each of us would find our home in Greek Life. I thought he was crazy at first, but it turns out he was absolutely right! Once you open up your heart to a sorority, it is a magical experience!! You feel at home, you feel like you have a giant support system, and you feel like you have a whole bunch of sisters!!

2. Don't be scared!
You should not be scared of opening up to the sorority members. They want to get to know you and want to see if you would be a good fit for their organization! You will talk to a bunch of girls over the course of recruitment!

3. It is okay to be nervous!
It is totally okay and normal to be nervous during recruitment! It is a new experience and is something that is hard to prepare for! I was SO nervous when I went through recruitment, but the nerves simmer down as the night goes by and as you get more comfortable with an organization!

4. Dress cute but comfortably!
Recruitment can be a long process for a PNM so definitely dress comfortably but cute! When I went through recruitment, I wore white jeans white cute tops and sundresses!

5. Bid day is the BEST day!
Bid day is literally one of the best days of the year! It is so much fun! It is such a memorable day for a new member to meet all of her new sisters and hang out with them all day! It is your first day in a sorority, so make the most of it!

6. Recruitment is SO much fun!
The whole process of recruitment is a whirlwind! Try to be in the moment and take it in as much as you can! You are going to look back at it and realize how much fun it was! Just try to enjoy everything that remember to have fun meeting new people!!

I will be linking some clothes that I think will be perfect for recruitment down below!!
